power to the paper:

paper made of tulips
05 June 2019
Every year, JEA runs a sustainability project. This year we are making paper out of tulips! We will be taking tulips left over from the Keukenhof and recycling them into paper.

Sounds like a great idea – but can it be done? The first laboratory tests were positive. This has given us enough confidence to push ahead. So now, together with the Keukenhof, it’s time to produce a huge amount of tulip paper. We really mean it! We will be recycling no less than 10,000 kilos of tulip waste in total.

The tulip waste has to be nice and clean before we can use it. Today, the JEA team rolled up their sleeves to help spray the tulips clean.
