The award for Business Improvement Manager of 2019 was presented during the Business Improvement event on Thursday 20 June 2019. The winner was our very own Fred Brands, Senior Manager of Quality & Compliance at JEA.

The prestigious BIM Award is presented every year by the Dutch Network for Quality Management (NNK) to a professional who, through his or her approach, has made ground-breaking achievements in quality management.

In the past few years, Fred has used a range of innovative quality tools to implement one whole integrated business management system within JEA so that JEA meets all the requirements for quality, workplace health and safety, environment and security (including information security). Our recent SC22000 food certification is based on the same system. This case was presented by Fred and judged by an expert jury of the NNK, which eventually led to him winning the BIM Award.

JEA sees the award as solid confirmation of our approach aimed at the continuous improvement of our products, services and working methods and the development of our organization. We are also proud that it was our colleague Fred who won this award!
